OCD NI Belfast Support Group
Here at OCD NI we have recently set up a local support group for sufferers. We had sufferers asking us for the resource so we have provided it. The meetings run from 6.30pm - 7.45pm. We meet in the Belfast Central Library meeting room. Note this room is completely private (there is a picture of it below). You can sign up at anytime and join us.
We provide this resource free of charge, as we see a real need for this type of support in Northern Ireland. This group is to support and help sufferers fight against their OCD, It's not for ruminative purposes. We aim to give sufferers support in their individual fights. Support groups can be highly effective in helping sufferers. It's nice to be able to meet other sufferers and talk openly about your condition. Peer support really does help. We provide worksheets and other resources to help in you fight. Basically we do what we can to aid you in your fight.
*Please note if you are under 16 you will need a parent/guardian to accompany you.
*Family members are welcome to join the group but please note the group will be mainly tailored for sufferers. We will do our best however to help family members too, as we understand that OCD affects the whole family.
If you'd like to join us and sign up, please email us at office@ocdni.co.uk with the following information:
Name
Age
Status (sufferer or family member)
